The popular Ergo Race edge sharpener with three different files enables professional edge preparation. Damaged areas can be removed using an abrasive file. The Ergo race file is then used to sharpen the edges to the desired angle. A fine diamond file is used to polish the edges and achieve such a smooth surface. The sharpener has pre-set angles from 86° to 89° for trimming edges from the side and 0.5° and 1° for trimming edges from the slide.
